Never really graduated - my English teacher, Ms. Yaworski gave me a failing grade of 49% due to missing too many classes lol - Grade 9,10 and 11 she gave me 51% and then for my final year, she stuck it to me. (I deserved it) I skipped too much

Immediately after high school (1979) I was married and had my first son 1980. Divorced soon after and had second son 1983. On my own again soon after that. (?) Looking back, I probably should have had more patience with the men in my life.

Worked mostly in accounting during the day and in the service industry during the evenings in my 20's. 1989 Moved to Bracebridge to open a Fish and Chip restaurant. Successful, profitable business was sold five years later in 1995 I moved back to Toronto, North York area.

In my late 30's I went back to school to get my accounting degree. First I had to make up my grade 12 then I attended York University - did a four year course in three years while raising teenagers. Not recommended.

In my 40's I moved back to Bracebridge after my children left home (empty nest) and worked for the District of Muskoka, Finance dept. / Sweet government job.

AND now, in my 50's I moved to Newfoundland after my Mom passed away (2012) to live with my father. He turned his family home and (2) guest homes into a bed and breakfast. Living the dream, and loving it!

The clearest memories of school are of when I wasn't in class like;
Smoking in the girls room, when cigarettes were .52 cents a pack
Being the first of my friends with a car - a big 'ole Chevy with room for 12
.89 happy meal at McDonald's
French Fries and gravy at the cafeteria
Hanging out at the "cool gang" rad before and after class
Mastering my parents signature for late and absence notes lol
AND having the best friends ever!
