Catherine (Cathy) Haney Beattie

I have led a very busy life with my career in Long term care, I graduated from Sheridan College in 1985 from Nursing. I returned to Humber collegiate to achieve my Gerontology with Activation Tech.
I also was with Peel Aux. Police for 5 years and received the Optimist club of Brampton Police award respect for the law.
My family and myself enjoy our trailer in Shelbourne and going to the cottage of my sisters in Penetanquishine.
I miss Etobicoke but have great memories of growing up on Terryellen cres., My siblings have moved to Pheonix Ariz. I also have a sideline of helping people search for lost family members. after 25 years of searching I was blessed to find my birth mother and was blessed to gain 9 new brothers and sisters. So I enjoy helping others find theirs.
Vincent Massey was a great place and most of my memories are from my high school year. I have kept in touch with my best friend Rae Geeves and hopefully she will be able to join in the reunion.

Mr. Mcneil and Science he was the one who inspired me to go into the medical field, even though I didn't pay much attention. Playing football for the girls team and wearing Felix Wahers jersey uniform...I was considered the lucky one! Going to Jimmys and having tea and an eggroll. Buying a pack of Cigs for $2.00 and sharing the pack with Rae and having it last for 2 weeks...wow! Going to Henderson Park on a Friday night with Chris, Wayne Rae., Lois and the rest of the group. Wearing those totatly fashionable gym uniforms! Cafeteria singing with Subway Elvis. Mike Taggart..woohoo...So many memories...That are what make me the person I am today, My children say there isn't anything they can do that I havn't (scary) and I have no regrets..I loved Massey for the couple of years I was there. Oh..And Mrs. Knox for teaching me how to Achieve a proper signature on notes..My boys have no idea how to copy mine!!! Ha!
