Comments:

As promised in an earlier yearbook (1964), I did travel overseas with CUSO. I went to Nigeria in 1970, teaching the nerdy subjects of maths, physics and chemistry. Who would'a guessed?

In more rational times, I have had some exciting hobbies. I raced cars, after rallying for a dozen years. (Thanks, Robin Yule.) I have played competitive Scrabble for decades. I am an expert genealogist tracing family back to the 1700s. And now I have returned to my sports love: tennis.

No longer working on construction sites for the City of Toronto, I will be found on various tennis courts across the GTHA. Or at a duplicate bridge Tournament in the GTA.

My wife and I conduct marital therapy (now called relationship therapy) under the banner of IMAGO Relationships Int'l. This effective therapeutic approach is based on the ground-breaking work of Harville Hendricks.

May 2020 Update: I am now happily retired seven years. And I wile away my time in my variety of hobbies (tennis, Duplicate bridge, genealogy, and investing) while awaiting my wife's eventual retirement from counselling. At this writing we are in the Corona virus self-isolating mode; doing it in a very serious scientific way. As any safety professional will say, "better safe than sorry."

My introverted personality suits these sad times. Give me meaningful webinars on my subjects and time to read the gigantic pile of unread classic fictional works. And freshly brewed drip coffee!

A massive newish raised bed vegetable garden which was a sideshow last year. will become a new focal point this year, as we expect food prices will leap immensely as farming suffers like so many other small businesses.

School Story:

When a certain Brian Green challenged me that he could open my combo lock. I did not know that he had spent months shadowing me, and surreptiously learning my combination.

That lesson cost me $20 dollars. But I have never since bet on something which I did not know the answer for.

A cheap lesson, I think.
